Wangari Global was selected among the winners in Zurich Insurance's Agentic AI Hyper Challenge, the largest agentic AI hackathon in the insurance industry. The four-week global challenge brought together more than 1,000 participants from over 40 countries — startups, industry experts, and AI pioneers — to develop breakthrough AI solutions for four domains: claims processing, underwriting, finance operations, and marketing.

Wangari Global entered the challenge in the Finance track, with a focus on automating complex financial reporting using modular AI agents. The challenge was designed not as a conventional hackathon but as a structured co-creation process: participants worked directly with Zurich's internal teams to identify real operational problems and build solutions that could be piloted immediately, rather than prototypes that would require extensive adaptation before deployment.

The Hyper Challenge was part of Zurich's broader Innovation Championship programme, which has been running since 2019 and has become one of the most significant corporate innovation platforms in the global insurance industry. For Wangari Global, participation represented both a validation of the company's technical approach and the beginning of a direct working relationship with one of the world's largest insurers.
