Wangari Global has been selected as part of the cohort of the CORE12.01 Responsive Innovation Fellowship, an ambitious Horizon Europe programme funded under the Carbon Responsive Ecosystems initiative. The fellowship runs from April 2026 to May 2027 and selects 30 outstanding innovation-driven ventures through a competitive open call evaluated on scientific excellence, market impact, and ecosystem fit.

CORE12.01 is designed to bridge the gap between early-stage deep-tech and climate-tech innovation and market deployment across Europe. The programme provides fellows with tailored mentoring from entrepreneurs and sector experts, training modules covering business development, intellectual property, and investment readiness, and access to a pan-European network of corporates, policymakers, and investors. Fellows also gain access to two proprietary tools: the Responsive Ecosystem Toolbox for stakeholder mapping and the Responsive Innovation Monitoring Tool for tracking commercial and regulatory KPIs.

The fellowship does not provide direct funding — its value lies in the quality of the ecosystem access and the structured support for commercialisation. For Wangari Global, participation in a Horizon Europe programme represents both external validation of the company's scientific foundations and a connection to the European deep-tech and climate-tech community at a critical stage of the company's development.

The cohort's final Showcase & Pitch Event will take place at a major European innovation summit before the programme concludes in May 2027.
